Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask a browser to retain and send with later requests. LocalStorage is a separate browser feature that keeps values for a website without automatically attaching them to network requests. This policy covers both because each can store information on your device.
buddybeaconvaltbx.autos uses localStorage for the cookie banner preference. The site’s scripts do not set HTTP cookies. The saved preference allows the banner to stay dismissed when you visit another guide or return using the same browser profile. Reading the editorial pages does not require optional tracking.
Storage inventory
The following table describes the storage categories and the behaviour of this site. Choosing “Accept All” does not load additional scripts or activate a measurement service.
| Category | Item and purpose | Behaviour and retention |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | buddybeaconvaltbx-cookie-choice, a localStorage entry that remembers the banner decision. | Written after a choice. Stores the choice and category flags. Retained until replaced or removed through browser site-data controls. |
| Analytics | Audience measurement and visitor-event tracking are disabled in this site. | No analytics identifier is written and no analytics events are sent, regardless of the banner choice. |
| Functional | Optional preferences such as saved articles, personalised layouts or remembered media settings are not used by this site. | No additional functional entry is created. Navigation state and contact fields are not persisted by the site’s scripts. |
The essential entry does not contain your name, email address, contact message or a generated visitor identifier. The site does not transmit that entry to an analytics service. Ordinary hosting request information is separate from browser preference storage and is discussed in the privacy policy.
Using the banner controls
“Accept All” saves an acceptance decision. “Reject Non-Essential” saves a rejection decision. Because no optional tracking is deployed, both leave analytics and optional functional storage disabled. “Preferences” opens a panel explaining the essential entry and provides a control to save those preferences.
You can reopen the panel through “Cookie settings” in any page footer. Saving another choice replaces the earlier value. The preference is local to the browser and site origin; it does not synchronise across devices, browser profiles or separate browsing modes. If browser storage is blocked, the page remains usable, but the banner may appear again after navigation or a reload.
Browser opt-out and deletion
Your browser’s privacy or site-data settings can remove the stored preference. Look for the entry for buddybeaconvaltbx.autos and clear its site data, including local storage. A cookies-only deletion option may not remove localStorage, so check the scope of the browser control. You can also restrict storage for this site using the browser’s permissions.
Private browsing commonly separates or removes stored values when the private session ends, although behaviour depends on the browser. Clearing the preference makes the banner appear again; it does not delete an email already sent to the publisher. Browser autofill and email drafts are controlled by your browser or email service, not by the cookie preference.
External links and future changes
The pages use local scripts and local asset paths rather than embedded advertising, social media widgets or streaming players. Clicking an external source link opens another service whose cookie and privacy practices are its own. Our banner does not grant consent on that service’s behalf.
If optional technologies are introduced, their purpose and controls must be explained here and any required consent obtained before activation. An acceptance stored for the site described in this policy is not permission for an unrelated tracking purpose.
